ANGeRViLLe`S "THiS HiTS FoR FRee PaRT 2"...

It was back in October of 2007 when I first introduced y`all folkS to Toronto Canada`s Angerville by postin` up their "Anger Management EP" for your enjoyment. Then they dropped "This Hits For Free" in February of 2008 & I posted that up for y`all as well. After receiving a few emails & some comments in the C-Box about hearing more Angerville tuneS it was only RiGHT to post up the second instalment of their 'This Hits For Free' series! "This Hits For Free Part 2" is hosted by The Gamblin` Man Bishop Brigante. Featuring not only trackS by Angerville, but also jointS from Set2, Camoflauge, Snak The Ripper & 9th Uno. My homie Gamshooter also contributes some iLL beatS on the production side of things, these headS always work well together (just peep the 2 previously mentioned posted if ya doubt me!)...

The "Dear Dad [Rmx]" featuring D-Sisive is one of my favorite trackS off this joint, another is "Stop Frontin`" -- both solid tuneS with beatS by Gamshooter (see what I was sayin`?). Trust me folkS y`all will definitely be satisfied with the DL! This ish is too good to be given away for FRee, but here the treasure lies. So appreciate the gemS & take `em in, you`ll be glad you did...

EaZy-E`s "FeaTuRiNG...EaZy-E"

I had been meaning to post up something Eazy-E related in March, but I never really had the time to get it done - well that`ll be my excuse anyway....LoL, so here`s a lil` somethin`. Now it`s not as iLL as my
"Ya KNoW iT`s EaZy VoL. 1" mix, but if you`re a fan of the GoDFaTHeR Of GaNGSTa RaP I`m sure you`ll enjoy it. This album was obviously just another way for the labels to PiMP Eazy-E`s fans, by including some of the more obscure tracks that Eazy-E worked on with a remastered sound. They titled the album "Featuring...Eazy-E" because it`s essentially a compilation of Eazy`s features. "Trust No Bitch", "P.S. Phuk U 2" & the "We Want Eazy [12" Rmx]" are really the only rare joints. The first two tracks mentioned come from the DJ Quik produced 1992 Penthouse Player Clique`s album "Paid The Cost" (another out of print album), the third track is a remix from the "We Want Eazy" 12" which is almost 7 minutes long...

The rest of the tracks are pretty much filler, since they`re either credited to Eazy-E or N.W.A., trackS that had already been released on other compilations - except for
"Get Yo` Ride On" which features Mack-10 & MC Eiht from Mack-10`s 1998 album "The Recipe". I think that if the labels involved with this project weren`t so lazy they could`ve put together a much better album by including more features outside of his work with N.W.A., I mean he did "We`re All In The Same Gang", he has features with Above The Law ("The Last Song", "Game Wreck-Oniz-Iz Game"), D.O.C. ("The Grand Finale"), Brownside ("Eastside Drama"), H.W.A. ("I Ain`t No Lady"), Blood Of Abraham ("Niggaz & Jewz"), Menajahtwa ("Back 2 Da O.G.") & he`s even got posthumous collabo`s with Erick Sermon ("So Sweet") & The Game ("Still Cruisin`"). So I don`t see why they didn`t include these joints. Another thing that they should`ve done is have it so the tracks are sequenced in chronological order, I think that would`ve made it a lil` DoPeR. Anyway I`m done DiSS`n the album.....LoL, check it out for ya`self...

HuRRiCaNe G`s "ALL WoMaN"...

What`s good my ViSiToRS/ ReaDeRS? Today I`ve got another hard to find out of print album for y`all to check out. Being a BiG fan of the female emceeS that HiP HoP has to offer, I just had to post up Hurrican G`s debut album "All Woman". The album was released in 1997 on H.O.L.A. Recordings & Jellybean Benitez was the executive producer. He`s done some Dance Music & has a lil` association with Madonna, so it was only natural for him to executive produce a Rap album......LoL, just kidding I was a lil` surprised myself! Don`t worry the BeaTS aren`t Pop or Dance Music influenced. This lil` bit will explain how G link`D up with Jellybean; sometime in 1994 the Brooklyn native was signed with Capitol, but she wasn`t considered a major priority -- she was dropped, becoming another one of the vicitimS of the label`s downsizing. So in early 1997 she reemerged on producer Jellybean Benitez` New York~based
H.O.L.A. Recordings (an acronym for "Home Of Latino Artists.")...

For those that aren`t familiar with Hurrican G I`ll give ya the low~down. Born & raised in Brooklyn, Gloria Rodriguez better known as female emcee Hurricane G became the first female member of the Def Squad in the early `90's. Though she SPiTS most of her rhymes in English she does drop some in Spanish as well, rappin` in a 'Newyorican' dialect; a type of Spanish/ 'Spanglish' that`s spoken by many Puerto Ricans in & around the Big Apple. Hurricane has a very straight~forward & direct style of rappin` (similar to EMPD`s) & her voice sounds like Rosie Perez & Left Eye (R.i.P.) meshed together with a tough~girl attitude. Far from a lyrical genius, at times her flowS sound choppy. She does tend to boast a lot, but most emceeS now~a~dayS do that....LoL, she shows `nuff vulnerability on "Mama" - a poigant & touchin` ode to her mother. She`s also worked with Redman, Keith Murray, Das EFX, Xzibit, Deliquent Habits, Cocoa Brovaz, Tony Touch, Funk Doobiest, P. Diddy, Ras Kass & others. Another lil` tidbit of info`, apparently she has a daughter (Lexus Sermon) with Erick Sermon. So if you`re curious or a fan of her`s, check out the album...
