Bo$$` "i DoN`T GiVe A FuCK b/w Mai SiSTa iZZa BiTCH" [12 iNCH]...

What`s goin` on y`all? I`ve got some good news, well at least for me it is....LoL, my homie DiRTy KooL AiD gave me a bunch of Bo$$` 12 inches yesterday. I`ve been trying to find `em for a while so I was pretty stoked when he handed `em over! Since the search has finally ended I`m gon` share `em with y`all as I rip `em, hopefully you appreciate the links & the time spent sharing the music. So let`s get on with it shall we...

For those that aren`t up on Bo$$ let me give ya a lil` run down of what I know of her. Although she has a West Coast vibe to her music Bo$$ reps Detroit, Michigan & first stepped on the scene around 1991. Apparently her emcee moniker is also an acronym for "Bitch On Some Shit". After graduating from high school Bo$$ decided to move out to Los Angles along with her DJ, Dee Tha Mad Bitch. While out there she met up with DJ Quik, he then hooked Bo$$ up with a feature on AMG`s 1991 album "Bitch Better Have My Money". The song`s title, "Mai Sista Izza Bitch". The track had a nice lil` buzz behind it, Russell Simmons heard it & was really impressed. So BiG Russ` decided to snatch her up & he quickly signed her to Def Jam West...

Dee on the left, Bo$$ on the right...

In 1993 "Born Gangstaz" was released, although it was listed as Bo$$` debut album Dee was also a part of it -- hence the 'Gangstaz' as opposed to 'Gangsta'. The first single to chart from the album was the Def Jef produced "Deeper". It managed to nail the #1 spot on the Billboard charts. The next single with a buzz was "Recipe For A Hoe" which was produced by Mic Professah, it also reached #1. Things were really lookin` good for Bo$$, especially with her album receiving 4 Mics in the Source magazine...

When you`re on the rise however there`s always someone or something trying to pull ya back down, in Bo$$` case it came to her in 1994 in the form of an interview that she did with the Wall Street Journal. Honestly I don`t think that she really did anything wrong, all she did was keep it 100. However in doin` so she revealed the fact that she wasn`t 'so gangsta'. She attended private school, was college educated & grew up with both parents in a middle~class neighborhood. Shortly after that Def Jam shelved her second album & dropped her from the label...

Sure these were different times, but what I don`t understand is how Bo$$ was pretty much black~balled by the industry for keepin` it real, while Rick Ross a.k.a. Officer Ricky lied about being a C.O. & he`s livin` it up in a gimmick world. What can ya say, this Rap ish is like wrestling....LoL, anyway Bo$$ decided to relocate to Dallas, Texas & went on to become a radio DJ...

She made some~what of a comeback as a feature on a joint from Krayzie Bone`s 2001 album "Thug On Da Line". The song`s title, "A Thugga` Level" featured Lareece & was produced by Def Jef. She follow that collabo` appearance up with a mixtape she released in 2004 titled "The Six Million Dollar Mixtape". So there ya have it, a lil` brief history on Bo$$. Now go on & get to the tunes...
