Not too sure if this is a bootleg album or an actual retail joint, but regardless it`s pretty DoPe. Was happy when I came across it on Saltines Cracker Jack Box (peep the SiDe-LinKs) because I had been tryin` to find an album or somethin` from these HuN-E`s after hearing their feature on Warren G`s first solo album. The Dre produced joint`s nice & so are the tracks featuring Warren G, actually the whole album`s a good listen so I posted it up again for y`all to check out...

Nikki D was at one time a member of Ice T`s Rhyme Syndicate, then after her stint at Def Jam she joined Queen Latifah`s Flavor Unit. "Daddy's Little Girl", the album was produced by Leaders of the New School, Smooth Ice & Sam Sever among a few other katZ. "Daddy's Little Girl", the track samples from Suzanne Vega`s "Tom`s Diner". The album itself didn`t really do all that great (sales~wise), but none~the~less she went on & appeared on a Flavor Unit compilation. Also collab`D on the CD "The Rapsody - Hip Hop Meets Classic" (anyone have that?) that was produced by the Voelker Brothers & had guest appearances on recordS by Apache & Alyson Williams...

The Conscious Daughters, a female rap duo from East Oakland dropped this album back in `93 which was produced by Paris. Guess that could explain some of the socio~political vibeS thru~out the album. Most katZ have probably heard "Somethin` To Ride To (Fonky Expedition)", which is a DoPe track, but there`s others on here like "Shitty Situation" which basically deals/describes the plight of a young single mother who`s gettin` no support from the baby`s father. "Wife Of A Gangster" illustrates the violent picture that a criminal`s woman/wifey faces on a daily basis. A whole lot of folkS dug "We Roll Deep" not for its lyrical content, but for the DoPe sampling of a Lonnie Liston Smith Jazz~Pop instrumental from the early `80s. Whatever the reason give this album a listen, it`s well worth ya` time...
