CiZZLe`s "No DRaWs"...

Today I`m going to share with y`all an album that I had picked up more so because I was curious as to how it would sound. No one put me on to it, I just came across it by accident really. Found it at a used CD store for a whole $4 so I figured why not grab it. The album in question is titled "No Draws" by Cizzle (a.k.a. Big Cizzle) & it was released back in 2002 thru K`Otic Records. Now I know most of y`all are asking ya`selves who the fuck is Cizzle? Don`t worry you`re probably not the only one.....LoL, I was asking myself the same question while in the store looking at the album cover because the dude on it really looked like Guerilla Black. You know that emcee from Compton, California that sounds a lot like Biggie???

 Turns out that Cizzle a.k.a. Big Cizzle is what Black used to go by a few years before he released "Guerilla City" in 2004. Another interesting fact is that "No Draws" is pretty much just a re~release of the 2001 album "Ya Neva` Seen It Com`n" that he put out under the alias of Big Cizzle, but it came out on Bungalo Records. The only difference between the two of them is the order of the songs & the fact that "I Spit Dat Shit" is added to "No Draws" so it has one more song than "Ya Neva` Seen It Com`n". While rappin` under this 'Cizzle' moniker it`s safe to say that he sounds a lot like Mystikal & even DMX (peep "Ay-Yo") on a track or two. It kind of makes me wonder whether it`s intentional or not because I mean it`s just a lil` too much of a coincidence that he sounds a lot like two well known emcees...

I`ll tell ya one thing though, I definitely like him more when he`s Guerilla Black......LoL, I honestly couldn`t really get into this album under Cizzle because most of the tracks are nothing special & come off to me as just some ol` generic Wish.com or Temu songs that have been done already by plenty of other artists. There`s a few songs that aren`t too shabby like; "Wear`N No Draws", "I Spit Dat Shit", "Lighter `N Da Air" (even if the Reggae vibes seem a lil` forced), "Come On" & "Bitch 4 Me". The rest of the album didn`t hold my attention much, not that it`s completely wack or anything, it`s mostly because it sounds like stuff that I have already heard. It just fails to grab hold of my ears & make me want to listen.....LoL, so there ya have it feel free to check it out if you`re curious...

2 LiVe CReW`s "Me So HoRNy [12 iNCH]"...

I know that it has been a while since I made a post up on this blog & to those that do visit I apologize, I have just been a lil` on the busy side with Life & all, but don`t worry I haven`t given up on this blog! I took a trip up to my hometown in Canada a few weeks ago (had to show off my son to my parents since they hadn`t met him yet) & was able to grab a few CD`s & records that were being stored at my parents` place so y`all will be seeing some more posts in the next few weeks. Wish I could`ve grabbed everything, but the rental didn`t have very much trunk space left over after all my family`s gear was in there.....LoL, Anyway to start things off I figured that I would dust off one of 2 Live Crew`s most popular 12 inch singles titled "Me So Horny"...

Now for those that have been livin` under a rock & don`t know about 2 Live Crew I`ll just take 2 seconds to laugh at ya, then I`ll give you a lil` background info` on them so I don`t seem like such an arrogant prick.....LoL, but seriously you should really know about `em! They are mostly known for their sexually charged lyrics & at one point in time their early albums were deemed illegal to sell. Record store clerks were getting into some serious trouble legally just for selling them. They rep` Miami, Florida & the single that I`m sharing with y`all is from their most popular album titled "As Nasty As They Wanna Be" released in 1989. Well, that`s all that I really feel like getting into about `em for now.....LoL, I`m feeling a lil` lazy so I`ll save the more detailed info` for a future 2 Live Crew post...


Let`s get to the single now shall we? The 12 inch single that I`m sharing with y`all was released in 1990 thru BITE Records, a Dutch label that was around in the early 1990's that mostly focused on Dance music. You get 4 tracks in total on this joint; the clean & nasty versions of "Me So Horny", the nasty version of "Get The Fuck Out Of My House" & then the single closes out with the `89 House Mix of "We Want Some Pussy". The last track is really the only song on here that I`m not much of a fan of, aside from that though you get some classic 2 Live Crew joints! So there ya have it, go `head & check it out...

FuNKMaSTeR FLeX`s "Wu-TaNG C.R.E.A.M. TeaM LiNe uP" [PRoMo CD SiNGLe]...

Today I`m dustin` off a promo CD single that was originally released back in 1998 (it`s actually a European release) on Loud Records by Funkmaster Flex. The songs featured on this single are off of Funkmaster Flex`s "The Mix Tape Vol. III (60 Minutes Of Funk): The Final Chapter". There`s 5 tracks in total, the Radio/Clean Version, the LP/Dirty Version, the Instrumental & finally the Acappella for "Wu-Tang C.R.E.A.M. Team Line Up", a song that features Raekwon, the Harlem Hoodz, Inspectah Deck, Method Man & Killa Sin. It`s a pretty nice track that`s produced by DJ Scratch. The last song on this single is kind of a weird addition, well to me anyway since it`s more of an R&B song. I`m not sure who decided to add it to the single after the hardcore joint.....LoL, but for whatever reason it closes things out. "Here We Go" features Khadejia & Product, some folks that were affiliated with Wyclef at the time that`s probably why he makes a lil` appearance at the beginning of the song. The song itself isn`t bad, so go `head & give this single a lil` listen...

FRaNKeNSTeiN`s "LiVe FRoM NeW YoRK (The ReMiXX ALBuM) [PRoMo ViNyL]"...

Before everybody & their mama started doing remix albums producer/ rapper Frankenstein did it back in 1996, even though it`s more of an EP than an actual full~length. The album in question is titled "Live From New York (The Remixx Album)", the cover says 'Remix' but the sticker label on the vinyl says 'Remixx'......LoL, either way it`s all produced by Toronto`s own Frankie Ano a.k.a. Funkmaster Frankenstein b.k.a. Frankenstein. Some of y`all may be a lil` more familiar with his album titled "UV" that was released a year later in 1997, with the tracks "Rain Is Gone", "All Hands" & "UV" to name a few. If not don`t you worry, I`ll be posting up some more of his stuff in the future...

As for "Live From New York" what you get is a total of 8 remixes from Frankenstein, some joints are much better than others. Sure there isn`t anything that`s super spectacular on here, but Frankie does do some decent work. Standout remixes for me are "Masta I.C.", "Danger", "If I Ruled The World" & "Fakin` Jax". Not too sure why this was released as some double~vinyl since it all could have probably fit on one record, but whatever it makes for a decent listen. If you`re lookin` for a lil` twist on some early '90`s joints then you should definitely check this out...

 .....LoL, just buggin` out off the lil` typo that was in the inlay of this album (it`s at the very bottom in the middle white part of the shout outs if ya wanna peep it). I guess Playa G was too busy pimpin` to re~read his shout outs. Anyways as y`all can guess the album that I`m sharing with y`all today is from none other than Memphis, Tennessee`s own Playa G. The album is titled "Pimp Shit" & was released independently thru East Wood Recordings. Apparently this joint was later bootlegged in Japan & released again in 2000. I found a copy of the album in a pawn shop for the low~low price of $3, not sure if it`s the bootleg or original pressing though. I don`t really care all that much about which version it is, but I can see why it was bootlegged since I`ve seen the original pressing going for $250 online. That`s just bugg`D to me, not sure who determines these prices but they are definitely good for a laugh...

As for Playa G, aside from his hometown & the fact that this is his debut album I don`t really know much else about him. He released a couple more albums in the late 1990`s, but that is all that I have info`~wise on this guy -- so I`ll just talk a lil` about the album itself. Beat~wise this joint most definitely has some trunk rumblers! Your speakers will surely get a workout, they may even do a lil` walkin`.....LoL, anyways I`ll be all the way honest & let ya know now, the only reason that I copped this was because of the nice lil` shorty on the back cover rockin` that G~string palmin` her ass. What else can I say? It was a nice pic.....LoL, but let`s get back to the album now shall we???

Lyrically Playa G isn`t gon` blow ya` mind with his rhymes, still he manages to keep things interesting enough to warrant a listen to the album, but it`s definitely the beats that help carry this project. Subject matter on the album ranges from the obvious pimpin`, murder, chillin` with homies drinkin` & smokin` to Memphis livin`. Standout tracks for me are; "Fuck The Trunk", "Drink A Yak", "Chillen Wit` My Niggaz", "Pimp Shit", "Something To Ride To" & "Livin` In Memphis". If ya feel like rollin` down ya` block in a drop~top Caddy like a boss pimp then this album will surely be a decent soundtrack for the event....LoL, so go `head & save yourself $250 by checkin` it out here...
